Mechanical CAD Engineer / Draftsperson

A world leading manufacturer of high temperature furnaces and ovens for laboratory, research & process applications is seeking a mechanical draftsperson/engineer to join the team to work on their innovative product range.

You will be working within a small team of committed and multi-disciplined engineers responsible for the design development and support of special bespoke products.

You should have a systematic approach to problem solving and be capable of working both in a team and without excessive supervision. The ability to use initiative is essential.

Requirements
* The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience as a mechanical design engineer/draughtsman with extensive Solid works / Solid Edge 2D & 3D experience.
* Experience of mechanical engineering related to -Mechanical/Fabrication, good knowledge of mechanisms, gearing, materials/processes, machining/tolerances, fitting/bearing, and pneumatics/gas systems with an ability to perform basic calculations is required.
* Minimum HNC/HND qualification in an appropriate subject or preferably Degree level.
⢠Furnace or oven design experience would be an advantage though not essential as training will be given.
