Mechanical Bench Fitter / Engineer

IP Exec are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Bench Fitter / Engineer to join our specialist engineering client. The main responsibilities of the Mechanical Bench Fitter would be to learn, and attend to all mechanical duties within the workshop including:

1. Strip down, assess, service and repair a wide range of torque tools and systems
2. Involvement in the assembly and testing of ‘one off’ bespoke engineering projects
3. Fault find mechanical problems
4. Offer solutions to overcome mechanical/engineering problems

Skills required:
1. A good understanding of engineering principles
2. The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
3. The ability to fault find and offer solutions to mechanical problems
4. Be an apprentice trained or time-served engineer
5. Light administration – ability to record action on company job cards
6. Be able to work on own initiative

Advantageous:
1. To hold a fork truck license
2. Have a knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
3. Hold a full UK driving license
