Person Specification – Maths Teaching Assistant, East London
For this post you should be a positive and eager Maths graduate who has achieved a 2:1 or above in your degree and is able to demonstrate a genuine love for education and Mathematics. You will have the skills to display a determination to teach that will stick with you and ensure you always stay motivated.
About the Role – Maths Teaching Assistant
As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant your role will involve you supporting teaching and learning of Maths across the school. Working in the Maths team, you will have full access to a range of useful tools and facilities such as interactive whiteboards and specialist computer programs. Candidates who display a natural flair for teaching as LSAs or Teaching Assistants are often able to enrol on the School Direct plan at the end of the academic year, so impressing as a Maths TA will kick-start the rest of your career. You will have the responsibility of tackling various subjects in one on one and booster sessions that allow students who are struggling to catch up. Through the mentoring of an Outstanding Maths Teacher, you will be given everything you need to start learning new skills and develop good habits from a practitioner who has proven their good teaching practice.
