An ambitious Head Teacher of a London secondary school is searching for a rising star in secondary education and wants an exceptional graduate to begin the journey as a Teaching Assistant. It is essential that you can demonstrate success during your own education, with excellent grades from GCSE to your degree. You should be an adaptable individual who finds it easy working in different environments and with different team members.
The Role
You will hit the ground running as a Teaching Assistant at this secondary school, with responsibility given to you from day one. You will be given students to work with on a one to one basis in specific areas of the curriculum and potentially small intervention groups too. A large part of your placement will focus on working with Key Stage 4 classes toward their GCSE exams, aiding in reinforcing lesson material and devising appropriate revision plans. You will also be expected to support senior staff in lunch time duties, ensuring students abiding by the school rules and creating a safe environment.
