Salary dependant on experience (£31,200 – £60,000)
Cambridge
This role will involve mathematical modelling and simulation of proposed solutions and their environment to assess suitability and potential performance.
A physics background would be highly suitable for this, but a maths or engineering background may also be suitable. A first class academic record is likely to be essential.
A successful candidate for this role will have:
+ Created new technical approaches to engineering problems (TRL1-2) and carried them through to concept validation or basic demonstration (TRL3-4), or further.
+ Have produced mathematical models of technical concepts, including real-world physical environments, and used them to assess suitability and potential performance of electronic technology, including hardware and software.
+ Simulink and MATLAB experience
+ Relative Physics or Mathematical degree
