Materials Planner

A leading organisation in Construction Machinery are currently seeking a Materials Planner to join them for initially 12 months. This contract role is paying £15.6 p/h PAYE.

My client is a leading organisation in Construction Machinery, they’re currently seeking an Automotive/ Manufacturing Materials Planner to join their headquarters in the West Midlands. This contract opportunity will initially be for 12 months and is paying £15.6 p/h PAYE.

Key responsibilities for the Materials Planner;

– Managing material schedules
– Expediting
– Using MRP systems
– Manage the delivery exceptions and vendor compliance
– Measuring and reporting schedule adherence
– Achieving Inventory targets
– Minimise obsolete material and communicate potential risks
– Achieving Exceptional Freight targets
– Manage production of Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators
– Supporting Root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies / supplier failures
– Establishing process and procedures for critical skills
– Meeting with suppliers
– Representing Material Team in meetings
– Support in continuous improvement activities as required

Duration: 12 months

Rate: £15.6 p/h

Location: West Midlands

Key requirements for the Materials Planner;

– Industry experience as a materials planner within automotive or manufacturing
– Accurate interpretation of inventory analysis and delivery exception reports
– Competent with MRP planning systems (preferably GLink)
– Computer literate, including Word Excel spreadsheets.
– Inventory planning and control techniques
– Discrepancy investigation
– Experience of working in a fast paced production facility
