Materials Handler

Salary: IRO £26,000per year (negotiable depending on experience) + Overtime

37.50 Hours per week, Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 4.45pm, with a half hour unpaid lunch break. Friday 8.00am – 12.30pm.

Skillection are looking to recruit an experience Materials Handler to work on a full- time basis, for their client who manufacturer furnaces & ovens for the laboratory and process markets.

Working within the Logistics Team, this is a role based in the Stores Department which includes a variety of different tasks including the handling of purchased parts and surplus stock.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, those below:

Main duties include:-

Movement of parts, materials and finished products between Departments on the shop floor.

Replenishment of production stock.

To support the Stores Department, ensuring stock accuracy is maintained.

To pick component parts from various stores locations.

General driving duties as and when required.

General housekeeping duties.

To carry out any other duties in relation to the Stores Department at the request of the Logistics Supervisor.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Experience of working in a Stores/Warehouse environment or as a Materials Handler in a similar environment would be preferable but is not essential as full training can be given to the right applicant.

Counterbalance forklift truck licence and a full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

The role will involve regular, repetitive lifting and handling of materials and equipment.

Good communication skills.

Excellent people skills and a team player.

Basic computer skills would be an advantage.

Package:

37.50 hours per week.

annual salary of circa £26,000per year based on experience.
