Materials and Manufacturing Consultant

Our client is a leading UK systems engineering consultancy with a highly regarded reputation for technical excellence. Due to the continued demand for their expertise and significant growth my client seeks a Materials and Manufacturing Consultant to join their growing team. As a high calibre Materials and Manufacturing Consultant, you will supervise technical projects and provide technical and project leadership for major projects. You will work with a range of clients with a focus on the nuclear sector.

The technical work undertaken in the group is varied but you are likely to be involved in the following:
Multi-discipline working with design engineers and materials scientists
Pragmatic approach to balancing design intent, manufacturing constraints, and component performance
Technical leadership of analysis projects
Technical oversight and review of the work of other staff
Shaping technical programmes in support of major enterprises in the nuclear sector.

Qualifications and Requirements

You will have a proven track record in technical leadership of materials and/or manufacturability engineering projects in the nuclear sector
You will have the ability to bring mature project management skills to our clients.
You should possess a good honours degree or PhD in strength of materials or similarly related subject.
