Manufacturing Project Engineer

Salary: £48,000 – £55,200 per year

My client, a world-class specialist supplier to the largest global manufacturers in F1, Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace & Defence, requires a talented manufacturing project engineer to join its team.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance the production engineering knowledge of the Project Management Office
• Review technical drawings & specifications to assess method of manufacture to aid accurate quoting against the customer RFQ
• Review technical drawings & specifications to assess method of manufacture to aid input of job routings in the Company Production Control Software System – Progress Plus
• Arrange and carry out trials of new and / or innovative production techniques, tooling, etc. working with internal and external stakeholders as required
• Solve manufacturing and / or quality problems with new and existing production parts
• Engage, and share information, with internal colleagues (Head of Production, CAD office, Cell Leaders, Machine Operators & Inspection) utilising teamworking skills to achieve the company objectives
• Day to day point of contact for customers

Requirements:

• A background including Project or Production or Process or Manufacturing Engineering (at an OEM / Tier 1 Level desirable)
• Experience of complex engineering problem solving in a project setting
• Degree or similar qualification in an Engineering discipline
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Understanding and interest in subtractive manufacturing processes & procedures
• Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience of organising, prioritisation and problem solving
