Salary: £26,000 – £28,800 per year
As Marketing Assistant for this medical devices technology company you’ll support colleagues by coordinating marketing events/roadshows across the UK. You’ll be working for a global organisation which manufactures highly specialist medical technology used in operating theatres; a company that provides excellent training, direction and support for employees.
As Marketing Assistant you will develop and manage a professional programme of events in order to increase market awareness, generate business interest, and raise the profile of this already well respected organisation. Working closely with sales and marketing colleagues to align the events programme with business needs, you’ll project manage the events programme; coordinate venues, refreshments, diaries, and market the roadshows to customers to ensure the events are well attended and executed effectively (on time and within budget). You will attend the events and support customers and colleagues by providing a high standard of customer service at all times, with the opportunity to deliver product demonstrations (following full training). Initially a 12 month contract – and a great opportunity to gain experience – this role is expected to go permanent.
In order to apply you have a BSc in Biomedical Science/ Marketing/ Event Management/ Similar with experience/sincere interest in Marketing or Sales. You will ideally have experience as a Marketing Assistant or Marketing Associate; arranging/attending events and building relationships with customers. With a proactive, flexible, can-do attitude, you are professional, self-motivated, with clear and confident communication skills. Capable when working to tight deadlines, you have excellent time management skills and a fine attention to detail. This role is ideally suited to candidates with 1-2 years’ experience however fresh graduates may be considered providing they have some relevant experience e.g. completed a marketing placement/internship or held a relevant part time role. A full UK driving licence is essential.
