Harmonic are delighted to be working with a high growth SaaS scale-up in their search for a Management Accountant to join their rapidly growing team out of their Central London office.

The business offers a cutting-edge software platform that has won multiple awards for innovation and in turn, investment from some industry leading VC firms. With ambitious plans for accelerated growth, it’s an exciting time for an ambitious Accountant to join this entrepreneurial Tech business.

Based in central London but with a very flexible hybrid working model, it’s likely you’ll only be expected in the office 1 day per week and will receive a funded working from home allowance.

The Role:

As Management Accountant reporting into the Finance Director, you’ll have exposure across the whole finance function with scope to progress by taking on more responsibilities as the business expands. You will ultimately be responsible for monthly management accounting with insightful commentary, as well as bookkeeping and various process improvement projects to support the function as the business continues to scale. This role present the opportunity to develop your skillset in a small team where you’ll have the mentorship and guidance from a great leaderships team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Direct budget preparation, analyse variances, and create financial models.
  • Analyse financial data for resource efficiency, strategic recommendations, and problem-solving.
  • Adapt to the SaaS business model, emphasizing ARR licenses and variable fees.
  • Ensure quality control in financial transactions and reporting.
  • Manage reporting requirements, tax filings, and VAT submissions.
  • Coordinate with external accountants as needed.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
  • Oversee subsidiary corporations’ accounting operations and control systems.
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance on cash flow, cost controls, and expenses.
  • Support HR transactions under the Director of Finance.
  • Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Expenses, Bank Reconciliations, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Liaise with Payroll providers for monthly payroll and reporting.
  • Complete governmental monthly surveys as required.

What we need to see (Essential):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

What we’d like to see (bonus):

  • Experience in SaaS or similar business models
  • Experience streamlining and improving financial processes and procedures

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + strong benefits package
