Management Accountant / Assistant Accountant

THE COMPANY:

Brewster Pratap are exclusively recruiting for a Management Accountant/Assistant Accountant for a £100 Million TO, highly profitable manufacturing business based in Leeds. This is an unique opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant who is wanting to further study and become fully qualified ACCA or CIMA. The role offers you full exposure to all areas of Management & Financial Accounts and comes with study support, on site parking, and flexible working. The company easily accessible for people living in all areas of Leeds, Wakefield, Hudderfield, Barnsley, Harrogate and surrounding areas.

You must have experience of carrying out carrying out period end routines in an accounts function and ideally be studying your CIMA or ACCA. Strong excel skills are essential.

THE JOB:

Reporting into the Finance Manager you will assist him in delivering all the management and financial reporting for the group.

Key duties include:

* Producing daily, weekly & periodic financial information to the business to drive strong cost control

* Weekly site Variable and Fixed Production Expenses, Raw materials, Energy and Labour cost analysis
* Lead weekly meetings with site managers to discuss performance of above versus targets

* Working with Non financial managers and operation people across the business
* Assisting with period end close and the production of all management information

* Carry out period end processing tasks to agreed deadlines
* Perform key balance sheet reconciliations
* Perform variance analysis to target (Budget, Forecast, Flash)

* Production of timely and accurate flash P&L information
* Assisting with the production of annual budgets and quarterly re-forecast information
* Assisting the year-end audit and production of subsidiary company statutory financial statements
