Maintenance Operator / Fitter

Salary: £26,000per year

I am currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Operator/Fitter to work for my client, a leading manufacturer of products for the automotive market in South Wales. This is a great opportunity to join a successful company with a long term plan for success. The Maintenance Operator/Fitter will by joining a skilled team committed to providing an excellent service in what is a state of the art manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will:

– Have experience (approx 5 years) of maintaining/fitting on pumps, filters, storage tanks, mixing vessels, boilers, cooling towers and pipe work.
– Be mechanically biassed
– Be skilled at undertaking pre planned maintenance and reactive maintenance if required
– Be experienced in working in a manufacturing environment ( ideally automotive or chemical but others will be considered )
– Be an excellent communicator and be effective when working as part of a small team
– Be flexible and be willing to work overtime if need be ( for example if a breakdown occurs outside of working hours )
