Maintenance Operative – Guttering/ Roofer Background – Canning Town

I currently have an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Operative with a gutter/roofing trade background to join a Maintenance Contractors Housing Division to provide reactive and planned maintenance around Canning Town.

Whilst the role is principally involved in roofing/guttering, you will also have the opportunity to undertake internal multi-skilled work during planned downtime/particularly inclement weather. The role would suit an experienced multi-skilled operative with the desire to develop new skills in a roofing related discipline, of an experienced roofing operative looking for a more blended/varied role.

You will also have the opportunity to provide ‘multi-trade’ repairs which could include painting walls, hanging doors and fitting skirting boards, repairing or rebuilding walls, fitting kitchens and bathrooms along with minor plumbing repairs and minor electrical tasks.

Requirements

* Previous experience in social housing/residential building maintenance

* Hold IPAF Ticket Operator 3b (Cherry Picker)

* Harness trained holding relevant health and safety qualifications (working at height, manual handling, asbestos awareness).

* Full UK drivers licence as a van will be provided.
