Maintenance Manager

Salary: £43,200 – £45,600 per year

Job Summary:

To provide the overall day to day running of the Maintenance Department and also to provide a hands on electrical and mechanical support for the department.

Electro-mechanical experience in the fast moving, automated materials handling sector. Must have experience of high speed automated sortation systems and PLC controls.

Main Duties:

The duties that would be expected of you are as detailed below: –

* To carry out the day to day organising of the staff within the department

* To liaise with senior management on current and future projects

* To carry out and organise any improvements to the equipment on site

* To order materials that are required for the department

* To liaise with contractors from time to time

* To prepare a PPM covering all aspects of the conveyor’s mechanical and electrical system

* To prepare data check sheets for the emergency lighting testing

* To prepare AutoCAD drawings as and when required

* To carry out maintenance to the main conveyor system in line with the manufacturers specification

* To undertake electrical repairs as appropriate

* To consider other building services onsite and make appropriate recommendations for PPM

* To undertake other electrical/mechanical tasks as directed (this will include the Hub’s offices)

* To manage and plan the departments staff holidays

* To carry out recruitment meetings when required

* To carry out disciplinary meetings when required

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

* Experience in managing a maintenance department

* Experience with AutoCAD

* Good fault finding and planned electrical maintenance ability

* Sound knowledge of health and safety practices and procedures

* Computer literate

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Ability to motivate and organise others

* Ability to work on own initiative
