Caretaker / Maintenance Manager – Edinburgh – Rent Free Accommodation
Search Construction is looking to recruit a Caretaker / Maintenance Manager to be based & to live on site in Edinburgh. This is a residential post. A house is provided rent free!
In this challenging & rewarding role you will make a significant contribution to the care, maintenance, security & operation of the various buildings which make up the estate. The role includes hands-on and contractor oversight for ongoing maintenance, primary security responsibility and event stewarding.
Candidates need to have proven experience of a selection, not necessarily all of the following: Plumbing; Painting; Joinery; Minor Electrical Works; Hands-on repair work; contractor oversight; security system responsibility and maintenance.
Hours of work vary throughout the year & therefore this role requires someone who has a flexible approach to working days and hours in addition to a practical approach to maintenance issues & a positive outlook.
In addition to your salary you will receive rent-free accommodation on the estate. Living in the provided accommodation & being on-call is a requirement of this post.
Interviews will be conducted over the next couple of weeks with the aim of a proposed commencement date for the successful candidate of mid May.
