Maintenance Electrician

Due to recent contract awards, my client who are a UK Leading Facilities Management provider to the built environment are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to support maintenance works on a number of high profile contracts throughout the Edinburgh and surrounding areas on a full time permanent basis.

Employed in a mobile role covering Edinburgh, you will be responsible for conducting planned and reactive electrical facilities maintenance that can include PPM’s, reactive breakdowns, fault finding ad repairs ensuring all statutory requirements are maintained.

You will also be tasked with carrying out any ad hoc maintenance tasks as and when required including emergency light and alarm testing.

Essential requirements:

• Served and completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship
• 17th Edition IEE wiring regulations
• Have experience working within the electrical facilities maintenance setting
• Possess comprehensive technical skills along with extensive experience in commercial fault finding and rectification
• Good problem solving skills.
• Able to demonstrate a strong focus on customer care with excellent communication skills.
• Full UK Drivers Licence.
• Undergo relevant Disclosure/CRB checks

Due to the nature of the role my client requires an Electrician who can take ownership of allocated jobs, liaise with the client and bring reactive works to a close with positive results.
