Machinist

Our client is a global engineering group who are continuing to grow due to the quality of their products and services. Due to their expansion they have an opportunity for an experienced Machinist to join their team in Rugby.

Key Responsibilities & Accountability

They are looking for a Machinist to be part of the workshop team, carrying out a range of machining activities and should be able to :-

• Programme / operate CNC milling machines and lathes (essential)
• Utilise manual milling Machines, Grinders, Lathes, Boring Machinery (essential)
• Machine and manufacturing rotating equipment parts
• Carry out complex turning
• Undertake works to a high standard on a first-time fix basis where possible
• Submit daily and weekly paperwork accurately and on time
• Ensure exceptional levels of internal customer care
• Work proactively as well as part of a team

Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes

The successful applicant will possess:

• You must be methodical and accurate and make notes and reports during the disassembly process
• Hold a C&G/NVQ Mechanical Engineering (preferable)
• Have previous experience within a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering environment
• Have previously attended Health and Safety Training
• Able to use industry equipment correctly and safely during the machining process
• Possess a full driving licence would be an advantage
