Mac IT Support Engineer
This role is working with a well-established Fintech company. This is a great opportunity as they are recruiting for an IT Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis due growth. The position will be based in Central London.
Purpose of the post
To provide IT technical support to all company staff, managing support ticketing system, planned maintenance, assisting the Head of IT in a wide variety of projects, and keeping in line with company standards and procedures adopted by the IT department. Most importantly to ensure that the day to day support and maintenance processes of technical systems and applications are efficiently operated and managed.
Key Duties:
* Provide day to day IT support to end users in a predominantly Apple Mac environment.
* Investigate, resolve & escalate technical issues from staff via email, internal ticketing system and in person.
* New user set-up and onboarding/ training.
* Managing and maintaining all company AV equipment for meeting rooms, ensuring all equipment is always in working order and ready to be used.
* Responsible for the asset management of all end-user IT assets.
* Software asset management and installations.
* Taking ownership of user issues, identifying trends and appropriate solutions to wider company IT issues.
* Creating and updating end user guides/ documentation with clear and concise instructions.
* Assisting the Head of IT on key IT projects.
Experience and qualifications:
* Worked in a commercial environment supporting Apple end products and services (essential).
* Mac support certification (desirable).
* Jamf Certified
Candidate Requirements:
* Excellent communication skills – Ability to nurture relationships within the business and keep internal customers informed.
* Proven ability to methodically troubleshoot issues.
* Initiative to bring forward long term solutions to recurring problems.
* Solid timekeeping skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Attention to detail.
* A genuine interest in technology and drive to learn and develop skills and grow within the business.
