Epos Field Support Software Engineer

EPOS Field Support Software Engineer / Africa/Middle East needed to be Homebase when not travelling – 50-50% travelling.
Note: As this position will be focused on delivering support in the Middle East, based from the United Kingdom, the working days will be Sunday to Thursday, 8:00am until 4:00pm and be considerate to the regionally observed public holidays.
Job responsibilities:
• Responds to enquiries and supports requests from customers in a timely manner
• Diagnoses underlying cause of customer complaints or performance issues
• Works all customer problems to resolution, escalating to engineering for additional support when needed
• Performs trace file analysis when needed.
• Provide technical support of products and professional services.
• Required to extract reports, edit reports and manage databases
• Analyse customer software/hardware/system needs.
• Support end-user installations, configurations, updates and migrations through problems.
• Act as direct contact with internal and external customers.
Skills required:
• 3+ years working with software driven hardware
• Proven Field Engineer travelling abroad
• Understanding of databases
• Basic network design understanding
• Knowledge of MS Office products and related software programs
• Happy to travel to EMEA working from Sunday to Thursdays.
