Logistics Controller

Salary: £30,000 per year

Logistics Controller – Wakefield – up to £30,000 per annum + benefits

Our client is well established company that supply hire equipment to various clients across the UK, they are currently looking to recruit a Logistics Controller to provide logistic support to the whole Company; To ensure all transport movement is logged and analysed.

Reporting to the Logistics Manager your main duties will be to assist in the smooth and efficient day to day running of the Logistics Function within the Depot; to work flexibly as a member of the Logistics Team and provide a customer focused service to both Internal and external customers.

Main responsibilities include:

* To Produce weekly/monthly reports on ways for improvement to current processes

* To ensure all delivery/collection notes are passed to drivers and outside transport in a timely manner

* Assist with booking of all deployments and collections both internally and externally

* Negotiate costs with outside suppliers

* To tachograph cards on a weekly basis

* Route planning of Deployments / collection in accordance to driver times, rules and regulations

* Follow Health Safety Quality and Environmental guidelines provided by the company – currently ISO 9001:14001 and OHSAS 18001 procedures, including all future notifications
