A Lettings Negotiator is responsible for promoting and subsequently finding a new home for people looking to rent, whilst building and maintaining a close relationship with them. Some of the day will be spent in the office speaking to property owners as well as applicants (potential tenants or buyers) either in person or on the telephone. You’ll be taking calls that come in, and also pro-actively contacting property owners and applicants on a daily basis. The majority of your time will be spent communicating via phone so if you are not someone who can communicate articulately without being face to face, we would strongly urge you to reconsider applying.

Responsibilities
The typical tasks performed by a Lettings Negotiator includes:
· Calling and meeting with applicants
· Conducting viewings with applicants
· Responding to queries via e-mail and telephone
· Attending meetings with other individuals involved in the sales/lettings process
· Negotiating offers between property owner and applicant
· Liaising with administration teams
· Progression of the let
· Problem solving through the lettings progression
· Reaching and trying to exceed sales targets set by the company
· Taking responsibility for particular clients and supplying them with regular feedback
· Ensuring current legislation and guidelines are met at all times
· Providing excellent customer service
