They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Interior Design to join them to work primarily with students engaged across a range of courses, providing the high level of support they need to achieve their programme of study.
As a Lecturer in Interior Design, you will deliver high quality teaching and learning, ensuring the stretch, challenge and engagement of students of all ages and abilities. Planning, preparing and updating all relevant teaching documentation, including schemes of work and lesson plans, you will assess, monitor and record feedback to students to facilitate their best achievement whilst working to exam board guidelines.
As the successful candidate, you will need to be innovative with your teaching methods. With a commitment to all stages of the student journey, you will be flexible, enthusiastic and have the ability to engage and inspire students.
Applicants will be educated to Level 3/4 or equivalent (in a relevant subject) and be Cert. Ed / PGCE qualified (or have a willingness to work towards this). With previous experience of teaching Interior Design and working within further / higher education, you will have strong industry knowledge and experience.
With a portfolio demonstrating engagement with own practice, you will be a confident, clear communicator who is able to motivate students. Being able to work as a team member is vital, as is being IT competent and having the ability to work with students of all ages in a classroom, workshop or on a one to one basis.
