Learning Support Technician in Agriculture Engineering

Wiltshire College are looking to recruit a Technician in Agricultural Engineering to join their team at the Lackham campus. This role will involve taking responsibility for the provision of resources such as tools, machinery and work sites used for teaching; whilst ensuring that resources are maintained to a high standard.

You will be required to keep a clean and tidy working environment, as well as liaising with the Workshop Manager to ensure all resources are appropriately identified for servicing and repairs. In addition a good stock control must be maintained at all times, ordering consumables as necessary to ensure they are available to support teaching. You will be required to supervise duty students and those on work experience, promoting and enforcing good practice in health, safety and welfare.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant professional qualification to Level 3, ideally you will also hold abrasive wheels and tractor and telehandler operation qualifications, although this is not essential for this role. You will be an organised, self-motivated individual who has the ability to work alone and manage an extensive workload. Similarly you will demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, working to high standards and continually striving for improvements.
