Lead Solution Architect

Salary: £120,000 – £132,000 per year

Lead Solution Architect -Software Development, Microservices, API’s,.Net Applications, Cloud (AWS, Azure), Agile, CQRS Design Patterns – Croydon – £100-110k + bonus + bens

A Lead Solution Architect with strong software development experience is needed urgently within this market-leading solutions and services business to assume responsibility for ensuring that my client’s platform, technology and tools are best-in-class and support the overall Enterprise and Business strategies. Specific expertise in Microservices (C#,.Net) software development, API’s, Agile approaches and Cloud (AWS or Azure ideally) will be required as there will be a focus on the design of software features and how they fit into the wider platform

Lead Solution Architect Role and responsibilities:
– Work with key stakeholders to define an appropriate architectural vision for future microservices-based software development
– Play the key architectural role in the design of a series of new, innovative software features across a Microservices platform
– Recommend new platforms, tools and technologies appropriate to the business strategy in terms of software and product development
– Provide ongoing design assurance throughout the full project lifecycle, liaising with Product Owners, BA’s, Development and DevOps functions
– Ensure that all solutions meet business, information, application and technology needs

Lead Solution Architect Skills and Experience:
– Significant experience in a Solutions Architect role in an Agile environment
– Specific experience of solution development on a new Microservices architecture platform (C#,.Net, SQL Server, React, JavaScript) and CQRS design patterns
– Substantial experience of working with Agile principles, processes and practices
– Knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure ideally) and data architecture would be highly advantageous
– A delivery-focussed approach is essential

This is a senior role which will require the ability to communicate complex architectural plans and strategies to a wide variety of audiences so your communications skills must be strong. The ability to oversee delivery, inspire your colleagues/ peers and manage solution development with clear priorities will also be needed.
