Salary: £60,214 per year
James Stevens Associates are delighted to be working with a Charitable organisation in Hemel Hempstead that are looking for a Lead Software Developer / Manager.
This role is designed for you to lead and manage the Software Development team, ensuring that the development of applications and reports from the Association’s principal databases is implemented effectively, easily maintained and properly supported.
The Association uses several major languages to develop software: T-SQL, C#, VBA, and SSRS.
* This role is currently remote with a view in the coming months to move to 4 days a week in office.
It’ll be an opportunity for The Lead Software Developer:
1.1. To assist the Head of IT with Software Architecture planning and decision-making, particularly in deciding which development techniques and/or frameworks to use. These decisions will have a large impact on all future software development activities.
1.2. To manage the Software Development team, and be instrumental in the recruitment, training, supervision, and appraisal of team members, as well as performing regular 1-1s.
1.3. Keep up to date with new technologies and software development trends in order to maintain a strong working knowledge of the Association’s systems, as well as to suggest and carry out potential improvement or upgrade works.
The Lead Software Developer’s experience of using the below would be ideal but not entirely essential:
* T-SQL
* SSRS
* SSIS
* SSAS
* C#
* VBA
* XML
