Salary: £38,400 – £50,400 per year
Lead Research and Design Engineer- Medical Devices – Coventry – £32K-42K
My client specialise in designing medical devices in the Coventry area, and due to ongoing success are looking to bring on a mechanical design engineer to help develop their product range.
Main Duties:
+ Full lifecycle product development
+ Developing design specifications
+ Conducting research and writing documents to help assist with product development
+ Perform in-house product testing
+ Work closely with process development, supply chain and marketing teams
Skills and experience required:
+ At least 2 years’ experience within a product development setting
+ Strong 3D CAD experience, ideally using Solidworks
+ Experience in designing plastic enclosures, or medical devices
+ Thermal Analysis, FEA, CFD or Stress analysis experience would be hugely advantageous
+ Knowledge of ISO 13485, 9001 and related quality standards and procedures would be hugely advantageous
+ Bachelor’s degree (minimum 2:1) in Mechanical Engineering or related field
The salary will be between £38,400 – £50,400with the company able to offer more for exceptional candidates, the company may also offer hybrid working for the right candidate.
