Salary: £72,000 – £84,000 per year

Lead Design Engineer duties include:

• Manage and lead design team through all aspects of the product design and development process from initial concept to production.
• Identify new systems and process to drive quality, efficiency and cost reduction.
• Work as an individual contributor or as part of a team on multiple projects of varying size, scope, and complexity.
• Manage CAD models and assemblies utilizing best practice surfacing and solid modelling techniques.
• Ensure the quality of the departmental output to ensure the designs are accurate and complete, fulfilling all of the necessary requirements.
• Maintain the internal departmental processes and procedures to ensure compliance to QA standards in order to maintain quality accreditations; both internal and customer specific.

Lead Design Engineer required skills:

• Degree in Engineering discipline or Product Design, MEng/MSc preferred.
• Extensive knowledge as a senior / lead design engineer
• Significant experience of Computer Aided Design, preferably Catia V5.
• Experience within an aerospace interiors or automotive industry essential.

Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday 0800-1700, Friday 0730-1400
