My client is a Top 10 Main Contractor in the Liverpool area who is seeking a Land Buyer to join their expanding team.

Resposibilities and Duties

Initiation of a detailed site matrix tracking all sites that are currently under review and the progress of each site purchase
Tender for contracts and work with selected Architects, Planning Consultants etc to achieve the most suitable outcome for a piece of land whist also achieving its maximum profit
On agreeing land figures with land owners, progressed to agreed heads of terms and then worked with the selected solicitors to make sure we entered into secure legal agreements / contracts
Primarily I Project Manage many site purchases, be it on an unconditional, or on an option / conditional basis. I worked with our internal planner as well as external planning consultants to put forward numerous sites for a planning approval to local authorities throughout my operating region.
Prior to submitting the application carry out technical due diligence, this included seeking topographical surveys, tree reports and the removal of trees where necessary. Organised the relevant Environmental and Ecology reports for the sites, managed the relationships with land owners throughout the process, and aided in the solution to land registry issues such as gaining adverse possession where necessary.
During the appraisal process I have gained a wide understanding of the technical issues involved with construction of the end units and have worked with the Technical and Commercial Directors to ascertain the associated build costs and various abnormal and remediation solutions
Each site involved a thorough project appraisal which on completion had to be presented to our Chief Executive before sign off was carried out
