Laboratory Technician/Warehouse Operative
Elland
To apply for this role, you must have a stable work background and live locally to Elland.
We are now looking for a Laboratory Technician/Decanter for this leading independent UK based Chemical Sampling Service based in Elland, West Yorkshire.
As a Laboratory Technician/Decanter you will be working in a custom-built lab and warehouse working alongside the existing team.
The Role
- To prepare and despatch chemical samples
- Ensure all sample requests are actioned within agreed timescales
- Maintain adequate stocks of prepacked samples for all Clients
- Responsible for actioning and preparing “specials” for all Clients
- Ensure that all consignments are packaged securely and neatly and all associated checks have been carried out.
- Creating/Updating/Printing product labels
- Creating and updating COSHH reports for Client products
- Operating Company and current legislative procedures
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene, tidiness and cleanliness in the lab and warehouse
- Monitor and replenish all warehouse and laboratory consumables as and when required
Experience and Skills
- Educated to at least GCSE standard, including Maths & English
- IT literate with some experience of using MS Office Applications
- You must be a team player
- Able to work under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Manual Handling experience
