Lab Technician – Quality Control

Main Purpose of the Job

Ensure quality is promoted both internally and externally and that standards and customer requirements are met in the workplace

Relationships
* Internal: Technical and quality, operations, customer service and origination
* External: Customers and suppliers

Principal Accountability’s
* QC of production orders
* Completion of internal reject notifications
* Management of retained samples and collation for non-conformance
* Releasing of cured materials
* Positive release and customer samples
* Communicate details of complaints to operating teams, corrective actions and that corrective actions are implemented and maintained
* Undertaking internal audits where necessary
* Responsibility for the calibration of quality testing equipment
* Raising CoA’s for specified customers when required
* Assist with general quality & technical related enquires
* Supporting with additional quality and technical related tasks as required

Education, Qualifications & Experience
* Manufacturing background preferred, ideally knowledge of the printing, lamination and slitting processes
* Ability to investigate, identify root causes and implement corrective actions
* Competent in QC sample analysis and laboratory testing
* Good computer skills
* Able to work on their own initiative and within a team environment
* Ability to plan effectively and organise daily tasks
* Excellent communication skills
