Salary: £26,000 per year
Our client based in Woking is looking to recruit a Junior Workshop Engineer. They are at the forefront of the design, manufacture, test, supply, install, commission and service fixed continuous gas detection equipment and environmental monitoring systems. Our Client Covers industry sectors such as; Sewage Treatment Works; Ministry of Defence; Facility Management; Semiconductor Plants, University Clean rooms, covering the South East region and Home Counties.
As an employee, your commitment and dedication will be noticed, as an expanding company everyone staff member is valued. You will need to hold a full clean driving licence and be willing to travel. Our client has customers throughout the UK and some travel away from home may be necessary and overnight stays may be required, all expenses will be paid for by our client.
Description:- Electrical & Electronic component assembly including wiring, drilling, tapping, sawing.
Testing products under supervision
E-mail management (Microsoft Outlook)
Manage Voice Over IP phone system
Goods in and Goods out packing
Collection and delivery of goods
Some site work involving assisting other team members with servicing gas detection systems.
Some administration duties such as timesheet completion
Attributes:- Enthusiastic person with a good work ethic willingness to learn either a new skill expand their existing skills. Good Time Keeping; Self-starting attitude; computer literate; driving licence.
Training:- Full training will be provided in house on component assembly and product testing. Our Client will review your training needs based on experience and external courses will be used to enhance your training which may as necessary include a day release for college training under government apprenticeship scheme.
Hours:- Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 4.30 pm excluding Bank Holidays
