Junior/Trainee Sales Estimator

Due to continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Junior/Trainee Sales Estimator to join a well-established steelwork engineering and fabrication company based in Oxfordshire near Banbury.

The role would ideally suit an individual with some knowledge or experience working in the steelwork or construction sector who is looking to now pursue a career in Estimating/Sales. The successful applicant can expect to receive on the job training, a pathway to a solid career within the business and a friendly and supportive working environment.

The company specialises in the design and manufacture of steelwork for the construction industry which ranges from simple ‘builders beams’ through to fabricated steelwork such as support frames, stairs, Juliet balconies and other bespoke steelwork.

Junior Sales Estimator role:

•Receiving enquiries via telephone, email and walk-ins to the trade counter.

•Communicating with customers to understand requirements and provide comments/guidance as needed.

•Using the internal pricing policy provide the customer with costs for materials, fabrication and delivery.

•Logging all estimates and sales on the internal CRM system.

•Maintaining and building upon customer relationships.

Junior Sales Estimator requirements:

•Experience in the steelwork or construction industry (via work or education) would be highly advantageous.

•Ability to read technical drawings or specifications is advantageous (training can be given)

•Good communication skills and an attention to detail.

•Be seeking long term career in this field and live in/within a reasonable commute of the office location.
