Junior Product / Furniture Designer

My client designs and manufactures products within the Furniture Industry, and they are looking to take on a Product / Industrial Design Engineer on a permanent basis, in the West Midlands area.

The Design Engineer will ideally need to have the following attributes:

* Product / Industrial / Furniture Design Degree

* Be proficient in 3D CAD software (ideally SolidWorks)

* Be proficient in 2D CAD software (AutoCAD)

* Be an approachable individual, with good communication skills

* Good organisational skills

The Design Engineer role involves:

* Using your creative ability to work to a brief by completing accurate production-ready CAD models

* Working with the Senior Designer to meet internal & external deadlines

* Drawing up weekly production charts for assembly staff

* Using 2D CAD software to produce drawings of building interiors to ensure the best use of space given

* Creating clear and concise technical drawings for the in-house manufacturing team
