Due to continued and sustained growth Xperian Recruitment is urgently looking for more QA Engineers/Manual Testers to join one of our key clients who are a market leader in the supply of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software designed for an incredibly wide range of distribution, retail and supply networks.

They are offering a great career development opportunity to Junior Level QA Engineers/Manual Testers who are perhaps looking for their second job in the world of software testing.

The Junior Level QA Engineers/Manual Testers role will be working with the QA Accounts Team and it would be good if you have some understanding of accounting principles up to trial balance to understand how the software performs from this perspective – If you studied or worked in Accountancy before embarking on a test career that would be perfect!

You will be guided by more experienced QA Testers and will work with Test Leads, software developers, technical writers and other departments, so need to be able to interact well at all levels.

Essentially the role of the Junior Level QA Engineer/Manual Tester will be to test core functionality, identify and investigate anomalies in the test results and to propose solutions.

Running test cases to check outcomes against expected results and inform or take action accordingly.

Knowledge and Experience for the Junior Level QA Engineer/Manual Tester ERP Accounting Software

Essential

Knowledge of the software test life cycle.
Experience of Manual Testing ideally of complex applications in a commercial environment.

Good Knowledge of accounting principles and Ideally AAT qualification.
Computer science, accounting or business studies qualification, for example Degree, BTEC, HND or AAT etc.

Desirable

Knowledge of ERP application or similar software would be a distinct advantage
ISEB or ISTQB foundation qualification
Experience of producing written reports on test activities, opportunities and risks, and explaining recommendations to management
Good general knowledge of commercial trading principles

Remuneration:

Salary £30,000 – £38,400 + Bonus & Comprehensive Benefits package including on site gym and free parking
