Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year
The Opportunity
Our client is an established multi-disciplinary engineering and surveying consultancy. They have a broad client base ranging from small residential projects to vast commercial developments. Due to continued expansion they are recruiting for a junior/trainee Geotechnical Engineer.
The Position
To assess, plan and undertake walkover surveys, desktop studies and site investigations on a wide variety of projects within the commercial, industrial and residential sectors and to write accurate technical reports
The Person
* Possess a degree (or equivalent) in Engineering Geotechnics or Civil Engineering with geotechnical specialism and have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in the industry
* Be working towards or interested in working towards chartership
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Be capable of presenting ideas and working collaboratively within the team and with clients
* Be proficient in Microsoft Office
* Be able to write full detailed factual and interpretive reports following review of laboratory results
* Handle both engineering and contamination assessments which will form a major part of your workload
* Have a full driving licence and own transport
* Be enthusiastic with a willingness to learn
