JUNIOR FRONT END/.NET DEVELOPER My client is an online Safety Management Solution used by some of the biggest and most well-known national retail and leisure brands.
Based in London, the role will be varied and we hope exciting for the right individual; duties will include collecting client requirements, diagnosing and tracking bugs (and using your initiative in fixing them), adding new functionality or improving what’s there.
The core development role you will fulfil is to develop and enhance the front end user interface, primarily including dashboard and reporting tools. C# (.NET) as the base back-end language, the Front end is designed using backbone.js so you will develop in JavaScript and HTML5 – Visual Studio 2013, on Windows Server 2012 R2 hosted in Azure.
Responsibilities.
You will take charge of various aspects of the software development life-cycle not on offer at large software firms. This will give young inspirational developers key experience in different development areas
You will work hands-on with a wide variety of technologies and languages
Spending your day-to-day alongside a lead developer with six years commercial experience in the latest and most advanced technologies
You will work on your own brand new and powerful developer workstation, with all the latest software tools you need. Access to the latest Apple and Android devices as needed for testing
Technologies
• Web: JavaScript (Backbone.js, Underscore.js, Marionette), jQuery, CSS3, HTML5, XML, JSON
• Networking: HTTP, SMTP, SSL, WebSockets
• Data: SQL, LocalStorage
• Servers: Windows Azure, Windows 2012 R2 plus additional Azure Cloud tools as they become available
• Devices: iOS (iPhone 5S, iPad 4, etc), Android (Google Nexus 7, Samsung Tab3 etc). Proprietary developed hardware such as Bluetooth Food Probes
Required Skills
C based language experience. Such as C# (used in back-end development), Java (used for Android development) and Objective-C (used for iOS development)
Solid understanding of OOP and data-structures, entity models etc.
Experience using version control software, such as GIT and central repositories such as Codebase

This is key, you must be able to check, verify and prove to yourself the application development is good enough
Confidence to get involved, and try new things.
Excellent written and spoken English skills
Right to work in the United Kingdom for the entire duration of the project
You must be able to

A website or Github account where we can see some examples of your previous work or experience (even if these are personal projects)
A project that connects to any popular API, such as Facebook.
Working knowledge of web performance, caching etc.
