Junior Environmental Noise Engineer – Sheffield

We are urgently seeking a Junior Environmental Noise Engineer to work for an independent acoustic specialist consultancy based in South Yorkshire.

Requirements are –

*BSc or MSc in Acoustics or related subject.
*Ideally a minimum of 6 months commercial experience in Acoustics.
*Institute of Acoustics Membership.
*Full Driving licence.
*Excellent communication skills.
*IT literate.
*Awareness of legislation and policies surrounding Acoustics and Noise Control.

Duties will be-

*Undertaking noise surveys and assessments.
*Acoustic modelling.
*Assisting with planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessments.
*Completing project administration.
*Supporting senior staff.
*Liaising with senior and principal consultants.
*Writing reports.

Project types covered-

*Residential and mixed use developments.
*Wind farms.
*Infrastructure.
*Industrial.
