You will either have some experience within this Role and be looking for a role where you can progress within the Company or will have just left education and be full of enthusiasm and passion for a role within design.

Job Description

To provide layouts, general arrangements and detailed technical drawings on AutoCAD & SolidWorks in accordance with clients project specifications.

Location: Near Epping Essex (due to location car driver essential)

Hours of work: 8am-5pm (Please note that with prior agreement there can be some flexibility in set core hours.)

Salary Range: Depending on experience

Many commercial projects, particularly in the City, demand a combination of high specification designs with a wide choice of finishes in order to meet the expectations of occupiers and to secure blue-chip tenants for building owners. Based in a rural location, with approx 80 people factory and office based on site. This is an extremely fast growing company, where the pace is hectic and priorities change quickly. Junior/Grad Draughtsman Designer Key Responsibilities: We are looking for a hardworking, experienced, efficient and practical individual to join the existing team. The role holder will be reporting directly into the Design Manager and will be based here in the main office. This role is not remote, please do not apply if you do not live close to the office.

1. Liaise with Design Manager, Directors and Contracts managers to obtain clear specifications

2. Support the contract managers with necessary drawings from concept to handover.

3. Create detailed CAD/Solidworks drawings for production

4. Create detailed CAD/Solidworks drawing for on-site work

5. Liaise with Joinery Manager to understand needs

6. Solve fabrication problems

7. Continuously look for and suggest ways to improve the process

8. Other duties requested by management in support of the Team.

This is a busy role, in a factory environment, where multi-tasking and thinking on your feet will be critical. Strong attention to detail and a tenacious approach to follow up are required for success in this role.

Person Specification: Good CAD and Solidworks experience within a working environment or a Junior with relevant qualifications in design. Solidworks knowledge a plus but training will be given.

Salary to early 20’s for the right person with the right attitude and the desire to carve a career within the business.
