Junior Accountant in London

Salary: £31,182 per year

This vibrant and expanding Accountancy practice is now looking to bring on board a junior accountant who is keen to continue working towards their ACA/ACCA qualification. The type of candidate this accountancy practice is looking for, will have a few years of experience in a accountancy practice or business services arena, possess a strong academic background with good communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and ambitious individual who is keen to develop an overly broad experience within a fast-paced environment, whilst working towards Chartered Accountant status.
Role
The Junior Accountant’s position will be reporting directly to the Partner’s.
This role is based in Enfield EN2 Greater London.
Responsibilities:
Accounts payable and receivable
Purchase and sales ledgers
Performing monthly cash book reconciliations
Monitoring/tracking/chasing cash
Ensuring payments are made on time
Assisting with quarterly reporting/annul audit
Dealing with any queries
Assist with the drafting and filing of VAT returns
Important Key Skills:
Strong knowledge of Excel
Min 15 months experience in a similar position working in an accountancy practice
Qualified or Part-Qualified /ACA or ACCA Accountant
Strong academic education and desire to work within an accountancy practice
Well organised, methodical with good communication skills.
Ability to work well to deadlines and manage own time
Good team player able to juggle multiple business unit reporting responsibilities
Salary & Benefits
£ – £25,985. This role offers a bonus and full Study Support for ACCA.
