Salary: £54,000 – £84,000 per year
GVR Solutions are currently representing an established Joinery and Carpentry business who are providing a quality services throughout London and home counties.
The client takes on Refurbishment and New Build projects within High end Residential single and multiple apartments, commercial, heritage, Education, hospitality, Science and healthcare sectors. The client specialises in 1st, 2nd fix, bespoke joinery, washrooms solutions, door sets and fire door Installation and externals.
As a Joinery Quantity Surveyor, you will:
Estimate, survey, project manage including final accounts, oversee QA (Handover) and oversee wages.

Provide a complete estimation service for all joinery products

Providing support for the full life cycle of projects, including establishing timescales, budgets and resources

Enable maximum profit, smooth running and on schedule deliverables of projects

Interrogation of Bills of Quantities, Schedules, Specifications and drawings

Liaise with clientele on a day to day basis

Be accountable for day to day running of the project

Establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies

Cost control, cash flow, financial reporting and advice to Management teams

Liaise with Internal teams on project progress and problems

Reporting all aspects of the project, Cost, timeframes, problems, risks, solutions

Site based with weekly progress report meetings at the main office
-
Liaise with Client and ensure Client satisfaction through-out the project

Complete project final accounts

Be involved in pre-contract to completion on projects, managing costs throughout against budget

Identify Opportunities and risks
-
Liaise with Design teams and internal management to ensure health & safety and Quality Standards
As a Joinery Quantity Surveyor, you must have/be:

A proven track record in estimating and surveying
-
Joinery background is an advantage
-
Excel is the key requirement. 95% of the work is done on excel. PDF, Outlook and word etc familiarity is also essential.

CAD is an advantage but not essential
-
Good sense of humour
-
Organised and good time management
-
Excellent analytical skills to make informed, balanced business decision and reporting

Demonstrate Contractual Awareness

Self-sufficient
