Salary: £21 per hour

Joiner /Mechanical Fitter – Aberdeen – £21 per hour, Full time – Permanent role. Benefits include Holidays, Company Bonus Scheme and Company Pension Contributions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Undertake installation work/fabrication work and repair work as required
  • Mechanical fitting of new or replacement parts
  • Fabrication of and fitting of a variety of parts including container equipment
  • Undertaking, drilling, grinding, and occasional welding
  • Bespoke modifications to containers
  • Working in a compliant manner to ensure that products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications
  • Participating in continual review and improvement processes for the business to identify best practice
  • Liaise with workshop personnel at all levels. 
  • Carry out all work practices in line with Company Health and Safety Policy.
  • The role holder will ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained in the workplace

Experience, skills, and knowledge required for the role.

  • Detailed knowledge of joinery and mechanical works
  • Able to produce quality work within reasonable deadlines
  • Be able to read assembly drawings and work from manufacturing procedures
  • Have mechanical assembly experience
  • Self-motivates and seeks improvement in self and others to achieve and surpass targets/goals
  • Operates within company standards and policies; considers consequences/outcomes when making decisions
  • Completion of works within provided timescale
  • Provide a quality finish to all works
  • Be fully conversant and experienced in the use of hand tools
  • Relevant qualification to NVQ Level 3/4 
  • A background of general joinery and mechanical work and be able to work in confined spaces
