IT Support – Windows / AD / Citrix

IT Support / Helpdesk Technician – 1st/2nd/3rd Line Support – Exchange, AD and Windows – East London, Romford, Enfield, Cheshunt.

Primary Role: To work in a dedicated Customer Support Team to assist in the effective day to day Running of the IT support services, maintaining software, hardware and networks, dealing directly with users over the telephone and troubleshooting across numerous clients sites in the East London area.

Principal Responsibilities:

To provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line helpdesk support
To communicate with users of all levels in a friendly and professional manner and to follow up and solve individual problems efficiently
Some experience of installation and maintaining 3rd party applications
To have the ability to fix problems remotely and create innovative solutions
To be able to diagnose the breakdown of systems and peripherals such as workstations, printers, modems and network devices
To have the ability to build computers from the ground up
To maintain accurate records of IT assets and log helpdesk callsKnowledge and Experience:

A solid working knowledge and experience of Microsoft systems, Windows Server and Desktop applications. There is a requirement for excellent PC, Server and Networking skills with strong Active Directory (AD) and a working knowledge of Dell, Cisco, HP and SonicWall products.
The successful applicant should have extensive practical knowledge of MS Windows XP/Vista, Windows Server2003/2008, Exchange Server 2003/2007, Networking concepts LAN/WAN and Microsoft Office.Personal Traits:
