Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year
My client is a leading and expanding motor insurance group who are renowned for their staff reward and recognition, and are in The Times Top 100 Companies to work for. They are currently recruiting for an IT Support Technician to join a fast paced and motivated team of professionals, you will be responsible for the end to end delivery of desktop and second line service to end users.
Responsibilities:
– Provide a world class 2nd line support facility to the Business Groups
– Travel to multiple company locations to provide an onsite presence and ongoing support
– Effective Incident Management – manage, prioritise and respond promptly and effectively to assigned Tickets – Managing assigned tasks, incidents, Changes, Project tasks and activities through to satisfactory conclusion according to SLA targets and in conjunction with the Service Desk team and IT Support teams.
– Effective escalation and communication to Management when required and appropriate
– Develop an in-depth knowledge of the Business Groups systems and support needs
– Build, maintain key business relationships focusing on establishing mutual trust and FIRST CLASS customer experience
– Installation & configuration of desktop associated hardware & software
– Pro active monitoring of systems/service status & equipment in harmony and conjunction with Service Desk
– Liaise with 3rd party systems & service providers
– Perform site reviews and recommend contingency actions to minimise system downtime & business/service interruption
– Provide site updates/reports to IT Management
– Develop and maintain documentation & procedures towards continual improvement – ensuring all key information is effectively maintained centrally and fed back to the Service Desk
– Attend team meetings & provide contribution towards continual improvement & highest level of service.
– Project activity when required – Assessment, management & completion of tasks, with effective communication back to Project leaders
Qualifications:
– Excellent knowledge of key Microsoft Windows Server & Microsoft desktop technologies and applications.
– Mac skills are highly desirable.
– Excellent knowledge of the ITIL framework.
– MCSE qualified
– Mimecast experience preferred
– Active Directory management
– McAfee AV
– SCCM
– Excellent problem management skills.
– Solutions driven.
– Experience of engaging with all level of the business to Directorate level Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Ability to manage multiple streams of work under pressure.
