IT Support Engineer for IT Reseller

IT Support Analyst / IT Support Engineer Job Vacancy, Essex, / London, IT RESELLER, Office and Field based, Car Diver/Owner Essential. £15,000-30,000 + Benefits (including Healthcare)

A successful IT Service, Support and Solution provider with a fantastic reputation are actively seeking to recruit a highly experienced IT Support Analyst to join their growing team. Based Essex/London border, this is an opportunity for an IT Support Engineer capable of providing 1st Level through to 3rd Level on Site Support services to a variety of clients in different business markets right across the UK to join a growing organisation. Within this varied role, you will be responsible for providing IT Support over the phone, remotely and on-site on all aspects of Desktop and Network technology.

Further duties will include:
•Answering the incoming helpdesk calls that are logged via email, telephone and in person.
•Investigating and resolving the logged helpdesk calls.
•Escalating calls that cannot be completed immediately.
•Provide regular updates to customers on progress of their queries.
•Supporting devices and users on a Windows network comprising of Windows XP and Windows 7 PCs and laptops, Active Directory and Exchange, SQL.
•Supporting HP, Toshiba, Sony and a multitude of hardware manufacturers.
•Providing admin/technical documentation services.

Skills/Experience Required:
•You will be skilled in operating Microsoft systems for desktops AND servers Email systems (Exchange 2010).
•Proven knowledge of installing/configuring and support Windows XP, Vista and Win 7
•Proven ability to install, configure and support Windows Server 2003/2008, Exchange, SQL servers through a range of Hardware Manufacturers, preferably HP.
•Advanced experience in Microsoft Office 2003/2007 and 2010 as well as good rounding of all general PC applications both in customisation and deployment methods.
•Fully conversant with Iphone/Blackberry/Android environments and integration into Exchange Server environments.
•Able to use remote support tools such as RDP, Teamviewer, PC Anywhere and Logmein.
•Ability to understand IP networks including design, and setup of IP networks for LANs and WANs and use of VPNs to create enterprise Networks.

You MUST have experience working as an IT Reseller, VAR or Solutions Provider, rather than working as an IT Analyst directly for one company, as you will need to have a very broad skill-set in order to assist clients at different sites using varying systems.

It is essential that you have a full UK driving license and are a car owner as you will work
from their offices in Essex but will need to travel across Essex, the Home Counties and London to meet client requirements. You will also need to be very flexible, adaptable and have good communication skills as you are regularly visiting client’s premises to support their IT systems.

The successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills. This company offer a competitive salary in the range of £26,000 – £36,000depending on experience with travel expenses including mileage for use of personal car and private healthcare are offered.
