Salary: £26,000 per year

You will be working for…

Our client is based in Chippenham, they are a small but growing and successful IT support and services company. They have just been awarded Chippenham Small Business of the year and are finalists in the Wiltshire Small business of the year and Wiltshire Life Business of the year.

In this job you will be…

– Proactively and reactively delivering 1st line helpdesk and technical support as required to our clients
– Administer service tickets for the service desk, creating new tickets, updating and closing tickets
– Receiving and make telephone calls to our clients and suppliers to ensure class leading service is provided
– Creating and follow through on hardware, software and service quotes to our clients
– Maintaining and update internal client documentation and database systems as required for our clients and the engineering team
– Ensuring client satisfaction is achieved and maintained
– Being aware of commercial opportunities with existing and prospective clients
– Contributing to an environment that fosters open communication and trust with all team members, clients and other stakeholders

Your training will…

Start with a 12-14 month IT apprenticeship, which consists of training in small groups and work based assessment covering: Operating systems, Server administration, Customer support, Networking and Security.

You will gain City & Guilds Level 3 qualifications in IT Systems & Principles and IT Professional Competence, as well as Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) qualifications leading to the Microsoft Certified Professional certification. This fantastic opportunity can potentially lead to you earning £30k in the IT sector.

– Someone that has level of flexibility with regard to outside hours working
– Someone with enthusiasm and desire for making our clients lives better via technology
– Someone who is able to communicate clearly orally and via writing to Avagio staff, suppliers and clients
– Someone with a “can do attitude”
– Someone with own care would be at a advantage but not essential as this role is predominately office based
– Someone with ideally 5 GCSE Grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English

Successful apprentices will have the opportunity of a firm position within the company.
