IT Support – Apprentice

We now have the opportunity for an enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join our growing IT team.

Training to be provided: IT Software Web & Telecoms – Level 2 / Level 3

Apprenticeship duration: 12-24 Months

Key Responsibilities –

Dealing with user support calls and emails.
Troubleshooting user software, hardware and network problems and appropriately escalating these to other members of the team.
Installing and configuring desktops and laptops.
Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with company procedures.
Internal office desk moves and phone and network patching.

Knowledge and experience –

Office software (Microsoft Office or open source alternatives)
Email
Operating systems
Hardware
Basic networking

Qualifications Required –

You must have at least 5 GCSE grades (C and above) or equivalent, Maths and English is a must.

Working Week: 37.5 hours (Monday – Friday, 9.00 – 5.30pm) – 1 day per week based at college.

You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident dealing with enquiries from users at all levels.

Previous experience is not required, however you must have a passion for technology, a can-do attitude and have demonstrated the ability to learn under your own initiative. This role would suit someone just beginning their career in IT; we will provide on the job training as required.
