Salary: £84,000 – £108,000 per year

Based in the UK and supporting our client’s viral screening and surveillance sales team, this new role will focus on the sales of PCR collection kits to testing labs and health centres across UK, EU and some other geographies internationally.

The Position:

The appointed International Sales Manager will be responsible for:

* Developing and managing the sales territory with the goal of maximizing revenue to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan

* Utilizing product features and benefits accompanied with selling skills to identify and qualify leads, initiate the sales process and successfully promote and close sales of company products

* Coordinating the entire sales process for assigned accounts, primarily laboratories and/or healthcare institutions

* Demonstrating excellent communication and selling skills using various platforms including phone, email, conferencing applications, messaging applications, professional social networks and in-person meetings

* Connecting with customers, building relationships, asking informative questions, providing solutions, setting expectations and closing deals

* Building new business pipeline through outbound activities including cold phone calls/customer visits, emails and distributor training and development

* Assisting the Director of Sales in appropriate selection and management of international distributors

* Using discretion and qualifying questions during lead verification to determine the validity of interested parties

* Working closely with Regulatory Affairs to monitor user compliance for in vitro diagnostic testing purposes

* Maintaining comprehensive documentation of account engagements using the Company’s customer relationship management software

* Communicating key competitive activities, market trends, and changing customer development plans and priorities

* Developing product knowledge sufficient to successfully conduct an effective sales presentation and ongoing sales engagement

* Involvement with corporate communications opportunities including joint press releases and marketing blogs

The Candidate:

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

* A minimum Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent combination of relevant job experience and training, preferably in the Life Sciences

* Some knowledge of sample collection, genomic sampling products, diagnostic solutions, clinical research and/or consumer PCR technology

* Proven new business development skillset (lead identification, presenting, negotiation, closing)

* A minimum of four years’ previous direct sales experience with Life Sciences products, preferably with international customers/distributors

* Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts and influence potential buyers, both in person and over the phone

* Tenacity, drive and eagerness to succeed in sales as part of a dynamic team in a high growth environment

* Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations and re-organize priorities

* Excellent organizational skills to manage the sales process across multiple account engagements
