Position: International / Export Sales Executive (2 positions available)
Location: Central / North London with opportunity for international travel
Salary: £26,000 – £42,000per yearbasic (negotiable based on experience), pension benefits + monthly bonuses (generally ranging between 10% and 30% of the basic salary)

Role A – European team role:

The sales deals are quick and relationship building is crucial.

Role B – Middle East and Africa team:
The ideal candidate will need to be a good closer, ideally who has the tenacity to follow through enquiries that could take anything up to 3 months to convert.
Great analytical skills and a good eye for detail
Must be very organised and able to multi-task effectively

Languages: are a bonus but not crucial for this role
Job overview:
As part of a growing and dynamic sales desk, International Sales Executives play a key role in the delivery of a superior customer service experience. The role encompasses proactive customer relationship development and responsive quoting on product/pricing enquiries. Operating in a fast-paced environment, International Sales Executives are at the forefront of the company’s international Export activities and are a key driver of the company’s global commercial success.
Successful candidates will have a keen interest and passion for international trade. They will also be conscientious and will demonstrate acute attention to detail. Good communication skills, telephone manners and a high level of numeracy are essential. Candidates will also have a positive attitude and be able to work well under pressure, as the role requires dealing with numerous customer enquiries, sometimes simultaneously. The candidate must demonstrate good commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Requirements:
Previous sales and/or international experience
Language skills as detailed above
Engineering background and/or experience of export documentation would be an advantage.
Key responsibilities:
* Reactive sales by responding to product/pricing enquiries on the phone and by email, with a clear focus on both customer satisfaction and profitability.
* Proactive business development by telephone and in face-to-face meetings (sometimes requiring international travel), with a view to generate sales from prospective, new and lapsed accounts.
* Dealing with all Export documentation including Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, Packing Lists, Letter of Credit, etc. (previous experience of this is not required)
* Day-to-day back office account management including chasing carriers, forwarders and shipments, and consistently keeping clients updated on their order status.
* Building strong relationships with customers with a view to become their first port of call whenever they have a requirement for products.
Computer skills:
Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office products
