Interim Payroll Assistant
£25,000 – £28,000 (prorated to contract length)
Office Based – Contract until the end of August 2023
Our client is looking for to an appoint an Interim Payroll Assistant who will be responsible for the payroll processing and administration primarily for the 2000 UK employees.
Key responsibilities of the Interim Payroller:
- Processing and Updating monthly standard payroll data in the ADP system
- Running the UK payroll monthly, including staff benefit calculations
- Reviewing payroll related e-mails and resolving any staff queries
- Posting the payroll journal onto the finance system for completed payrolls
- Liaising with HR around new starters and assisting with associated employee administration
- Completing required statutory/tax filings such as furlough reclaims and P11Ds
- Producing payroll analysis to help understand the impact of changes in employees or legislation
- Producing manual pay calculations for any required advance staff payments
- Processing new starters and leavers accurately, including calculation of annual leave pay adjustments
- Setting up meetings and liaising with finance monthly regarding payroll calculations
- Managing the benefits system and applicable changes
- Keeping up to date with relevant regulations/legislation and determine the impact of any changes, taking action to implement changes where necessary
Key requirements for the Payroll Assistant:
- Previous experience in a similar payroll role
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation relating to payroll and pensions
- Organised approach to tasks and able to prioritise effectively across different work streams
- Display a high standard of work and able to take ownership of tasks, meeting deadlines and goals assigned to you
- A team player with a flexible approach
